The Primavera side can’t find a smile, suffering another defeat after the slip-up in Verona. This time Milan lost at home in Carate Brianza, going down 0-1 to Lazio. Conceding early is never a good thing, and Mister Renna’s team paid the price by letting in Serra’s goal in the 3rd minute and remaining behind for the rest of the match. It was a game shaped by mistakes and key incidents, as well as by tension. Three red cards were shown in total, similar in nature and far from inconsequential. In particular, Colombo’s dismissal midway through the second half proved costly, coming just as the Rossoneri were enjoying their best spell of the game.

A difficult afternoon, with a performance that was only sporadically impressive. The attack appears to be going through a difficult spell, though credit must also be given to the Lazio goalkeeper’s outstanding display. Matchday 24 of the Primavera 1 season brought no points for the Rossoneri, who remain on 31 points and sit in the lower part of the crowded mid-table group. The campaign is a long one, with plenty of opportunities for redemption ahead, without losing sight of the main and primary objective: developing the players. On the next matchday, Saturday 14 February at 1.00 pm, Milan will be away at Genoa.

    MATCH REPORT
It seemed like a good start, with Domniței testing Pannozzo after just a few seconds, but Lazio took the lead with their first attack. In the 3rd minute, Fernandes played the ball forward, Cuzzarella won a deflection and shot, Bouyer made the save, Serra collected the rebound, struck the crossbar with an empty goal and eventually headed the ball in. In the 6th minute, Pannozzo saved Lontani’s low drive. In the 22nd minute, Bouyer denied Gelli’s set-piece effort. In the 27th minute, Lontani burst forward and crossed, Mancioppi nodded the ball down for Scotti, whose overhead kick was weak. The match was lively and feisty: in the 34th minute, two straight red cards were shown, one for each side, to Lontani and Farcomeni. In the 38th minute, Domniței fired a scuffed right-footed shot from the edge of the area.

Milan were better in the second half, showing greater conviction and effectiveness. In the 54th minute, Colombo attempted a backheel from close range, but Pannozzo made a crucial save. In the 60th minute, Perera unleashed a fine left-footed strike, with the opposing goalkeeper once again impeccable in getting a touch to deny him. In the 62nd minute, Cuzzarella failed to trouble Bouyer. In the 63rd minute, Tartaglia went close, producing a dangerous close-range volley from a very tight angle that struck the outside of the post. In the 73rd minute, Colombo’s dismissal dashed hopes of a comeback, even though the Rossoneri kept pushing on. In the 76th minute, Dotta’s header was saved by Pannozzo, and in the 80th minute Scotti was first blocked before Pandolfi blasted over. In the 87th minute, Ferrari fired powerfully but wide. It ended: Milan 0–1 Lazio.
