OMARI HUTCHINSON: FOCUS AND FUN FACTS

AC Milan have welcomed another exciting talent from the Premier League. Omari Hutchinson is a left-footed winger with pace and excellent one-on-one ability. He prefers to start on the right and cut inside onto his stronger foot, but his versatility also allows him to operate on the opposite flank or behind the striker. Dribbling, acceleration and the ability to create numerical advantages are among the key features of his game.

Born in Redhill on 30 October 2003, Omari started his footballing journey  in the Chelsea and Charlton academies at a young age before completing his development at Arsenal. He returned to Chelsea in the summer of 2022 and made his professional debut in January 2023, coming on against Manchester City. His breakthrough came the following season during a loan spell at Ipswich Town. With the Tractor Boys, he played a key role in the promotion campaign that took the club back to the Premier League after a 22-year absence, finishing the 2023/24 Championship season with ten goals and five assists.

Those performances convinced Ipswich to sign him permanently from Chelsea ahead of the 2024/25 season, during which he also scored his first Premier League goal against Manchester United. Omari netted the equaliser in a 1-1 draw on Rúben Amorim's debut in the Red Devils dugout, an intriguing first encounter with his future coach before moving to Nottingham Forest in the summer of 2025. He continued his development during an important season with the Reds, also making his debut in European competition and helping the side reach the Europa League semi-finals.

There are also some interesting stories from his early years. At just 12 years old, Omari met Pelé during a tournament with Arsenal, with the Brazilian legend praising his ability. Around the same time, he went viral in a video with the F2 Freestylers, showcasing his skills on the ball. Eligible to represent both England and Jamaica, he played for both countries at youth level before ultimately choosing England Under-21s, with whom he won the European Championship in 2025, also scoring in the final.
