Milan Futuro's returned to action, but came away empty-handed, suffering a 2-1 home defeat to Rovato Calcio on Matchday 7 of Serie D Group B. It was an exciting first half, with the visitors taking an early lead from the penalty spot before Ossola quickly brought AC Milan level. Rovato then scored the winner in the second half, and despite the Rossoneri's determined efforts to get back into the game, they were unable to score another. It was a disappointing result for our team who deserved more, based on their performance in the first 45 minutes.
There were a few changes to the starting lineup following the win over Villa Valle. Faccioli made his first start and Balentien made his first league appearance of the season after recovering from the injury he picked up against Everton. The Rossoneri made a positive start but struggled to maintain their level as the game wore on against a tough, well-organized opponent. Rovato secured their first win of the season in Solbiate Arno. Milan Futuro can take plenty of positives from the game as they look ahead to a busy few weeks, with a packed schedule of fixtures on the horizon. Next up is Wednesday's match against Piacenza, kicking off at 3:00 PM, as the teams make up Matchday 5 (live on the AC Milan Official App).

MATCH REPORT
The opening minutes at the Chinetti were relatively slow, but the game sprang to life in the 6th minute when a coming together between Pagliei and Randazzo inside the box resulted in a penalty for Rovato, which Fossati converted. The Rossoneri responded immediately. Perera laid the ball off to Ossola, whose cross-shot found the back of the net without taking a deflection. The teams then settled into the game, with Navarro's side taking control of possession and looking for openings in Rovato's well-organized defense. Vos tested Grasso with a header in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper gathered the ball at the second attempt. Four minutes later, Balentien burst forward and tried his luck with a curling left-footed effort from the edge of the box. His shot took a deflection, but it had been heading in the right direction. The final 15 minutes of the first half passed without any clear-cut chances.
Both teams returned for the second half with no changes. Cissè tested Grasso with a powerful long-range effort in the 49th minute, only for the goalkeeper to keep it out with his fists. Rovato gradually increased the pressure and regained the lead in the 61st minute, when Foh threw himself at a header from close range, leaving Faccioli with no chance. Milan Futuro responded, and Grasso had to make an excellent low save to deny Vos in the 65th minute. Coach Navarro then made his first substitutions in an attempt to turn the game around, pushing his team further forward. Sala tried his luck from distance in the 69th minute, followed by Ossola two minutes later, but neither effort found the target. With the Rossoneri committing players forward, Rovato looked to exploit the space on the counterattack. Substitute Leporini came close in the 87th minute, cutting inside before curling a left-footed effort just over the crossbar. During the three minutes of stoppage time, Randazzo hit the crossbar, but there was no way back for Milan Futuro, who fell to a 2-1 defeat at the final whistle.
