AC Milan heads to Genoa on Matchday 11 of Serie A looking to bounce back. It's always a difficult trip, and the home side is in excellent form. The Rossoneri will be targeting all three points to head into the international break on a high. Here's our Match Preview ahead of the 3:00 PM CET kickoff.
LATEST FROM MILANELLO
The Rossoneri responded to defeats against Bournemouth and Bologna with impressive wins over Udinese and Inter. A similar response to the European setback against Ferencváros would further underline the team's resilience. AC Milan remains unbeaten on the road in Serie A, and a more consistent run of results could help it gain ground in the standings, with at least two of the teams above facing tough games this weekend. Some rotation is expected after the Europa League fixture, while the injury list remains unchanged. Strahinja Pavlović won't be in Genoa, while captain Maignan will return to the starting lineup after serving his suspension in Europe.
LATEST FROM GENOA
As the next international break approaches, Genoa has turned its season around after a difficult start that yielded just one point from its opening five games. Four wins in its last five matches, including victories in all three fixtures at Marassi, have helped Daniele De Rossi's side climb the standings and ease the pressure. The defeat away to Roma is the only blemish on that run. Montenegro's Osmajić, the team's leading scorer with four goals, and former AC Milan player Junior Messias have stood out, with both scoring at Lecce last time out. Baldanzi and Iceland’s Ellertsson are also worth watching. Genoa's 3-5-2 could feature two more former Rossoneri: El Shaarawy on the left and Colombo, who is favored over Vitinha for a place up front.
