LATEST FROM PUMA HOUSE OF FOOTBALL
The convincing home victory over Ternana Women gave Bakker's side a timely boost after an undeserved defeat to Roma. It also continued the Rossonere's strong home form following their comeback win against Juventus. Two goals from Stokić and a late strike from Soffia secured all three points and provided renewed momentum ahead of the trip to Como Women. With two wins and two defeats from their opening four matches, AC Milan is now looking for greater consistency. However, the Rossonere face a familiar and challenging opponent they have failed to beat in either of the last two seasons. Julie Piga will be unavailable after undergoing surgery this week for a displaced fracture of the nasal septum.

"Having played Como Women already earlier this season, we understand the challenges they bring", Suzanne Bakker said on the eve of the match. "We take confidence from last week's victory and want to build on that performance. The key will be to stay focused, trust our qualities and, by staying strong together, approach this game with courage and determination to bring another positive result back to Milan."

LATEST FROM COMO WOMEN
As mentioned, this will not be the first meeting between the two sides this season. Recent encounters have been closely contested, and just one point separates them in the standings. Como Women has five points, while Bakker's Rossonere have six. Tramezzani's side has drawn its last two matches against Fiorentina and Lazio, following an opening victory over Ternana Women and a subsequent defeat to Inter. The squad has undergone several changes since 2025/26, including the arrivals of former Rossonere Selena Babb and Valery Vigilucci. Nadine Nischler remains a key attacking threat for Tramezzani's side, although she has yet to score this season.

"I certainly expect a balanced match. Our goal, however, is always to win," said Davide Borin, assistant to Tramezzani. "AC Milan has been following a consistent path for years under their current head coach, who has clear ideas and well-defined footballing principles. We therefore anticipate a match similar to the one we played in August. We want to get off on the right foot, showing determination and courage, even while accepting the possibility that a few mistakes might happen."
