ISMAËL BENNACER WINS MVP FOR MILAN V BRESCIA

In his first start for AC Milan, midfielder Ismaël Bennacer has already gained the approval of the Rossoneri fanbase, being voted in as MVP by the fans after Milan v Brescia. Arriving from Empoli during the summer transfer window, Ismaël first joined his new teammates on 14 August after having just won the Africa Cup of Nations, playing a central role for Algeria and received the Player of the Tournament award along the way. As mentioned, Milan’s home debut in the league at San Siro coincided with his first start in a Rossoneri shirt; before the 90 minutes played on Saturday Bennacer had only made a brief appearance off the bench in Udine. Tidy play, precision in his passing and great positioning throughout: this was how Bennacer immediately won over the fans, right at the heart of Coach Giampaolo’s midfield. Certainly a debut to remember!
