KESSIE OUR MVP FROM LAST NIGHT'S WIN OVER LAZIO

If you win the award of MVP after a 3-0 rout without scoring a single goal, you must have really put in an extraordinary performance. And that’s exactly what Kessie did, the star of a complete performance, full of substance and quality. Franck didn’t put a foot wrong all night, running the game and earning the admiration of almost all of our fans as he raked in 40% of the votes in our MVP poll. The other key performers from last night’s win at the Olimpico were Ibrahimović (28%), Çalhanoğlu (21%) and Rebić (11%).

Paired with Bennacer in midfield, our Ivorian set up an impassable wall in the middle of the pitch, truly making the difference in the game. His 86 minutes before being taken off as a sub saw Kessie play 47 successful passes, intercept six balls and win four challenges. He even recorded a shot on target in the second half, coming close to scoring as his placed effort was kept out by Strakosha. A remarkably consistent player who knows no fatigue, a constant name on the teamsheet and someone who we rarely see subbed off mid-game.
