KESSIE IS THE MVP OF CELTIC V AC MILAN

Franck was chosen by the Rossoneri fans

He didn't score, he wasn't involved in any of the goals, but regardless, he put in a stellar performance. The fans noticed too, as they voted for him as their MVP. Frank Kessie was the MVP of Celtic 1-3 AC Milan after a display of strength and quality in midfield. The Ivorian picked up 45% of the vote, beating Kjær (31%), Krunić (16%) and Ibrahimović (7%).

Kessie made the difference in midfield for just over an hour, before coming off for Bennacer. All of this usual power and quality was on show. Looking at his key stats from the game at Celtic Park - matchday 1 of Group H in the Europa League - we can see he completed 100% of his dribbles (team-best), recovered the ball seven times, made three interceptions, 34 passes and two completed long balls. Essential, divine, unique: well played, Franck!
