TOMORI MVP OF ROMA V AC MILAN

Fikayo put in a splendid performance at the Olimpico

Alert, precise, aggressive: Fikayo Tomori stood out in his third start in Serie A - after Bologna and Crotone. Called into action by Stefano Pioli for a tricky fixture at the Olimpico, he partnered Simon Kjær and performed admirably. That's why he was chosen as the MVP of Roma v AC Milan, receiving 48% of the vote - ahead of Ante Rebić (36%) and Franck Kessie (12%).

Fikayo put in a solid, flawless performance, which could've been capped off with a goal; he did put the ball in the back of the Roma net in the third minute but it was chalked off for offside. At the second time of asking, in the 78th minute, Pau López produced a smart stop to deny the English centre-back. Offensive incursions aside, the 23-year-old showed a huge amount of alertness and he recovery to dispossess Veretout in the first half deserves a particular mention. Therefore, deservedly and for the first time with the Rossoneri, Fikayo Tomori wins the MVP award.
