Proudly wearing the captain's armband once again today, Theo Hernández was back to tearing up the left flank as we have become accustomed to seeing in recent years. At the Penzo stadium in Venice, the number put on a complete performance: unbeatable in defence and devastating in attack. He was the one to initiate the move that opened the scoring and then it was him again who provided a brace to close out the contest. A performance that unsurprisingly earned him the MVP award of the Venezia v AC Milan game with 76% of the vote.
It is the Frenchman's third career brace in Serie A (his first two came against Parma and Torino last year), making him the first defender to score at least three braces in AC Milan's history in Serie A. Since wearing the Rossoneri jersey, Hernández has actively participated in 30 goals (17 goals, 13 assists) in Serie A. Stats that further affirm his importance in the Rossoneri's set-up.
