What a night for Rafa and AC Milan. April couldn't have got off to a better start; in their first game following the break, the Rossoneri starred on the Maradona stage against Napoli. Rafael Leão, for the third time this season, stood out among Pioli's men in the 4-0 win.
The Portuguese winger proved crucial on the night, bagging himself a brace and driving his team to victory. Leão opened the scoring with a delightful dink over Meret - from a brilliant Brahim Díaz assist - and then, fed by Tonali, rifled it past the goalkeeper with an unstoppable effort on the hour mark.
Yesterday at the Maradona, our number 17 scored his first goal against Napoli and didn't need long for a second. But his performance was about more than just goals because he showed so much sacrifice to help his teammates and drive his side up the field with those usual high-speed dribbles, which caused so many issues for the Napoli defence.
With that brace on matchday 28, Rafa moved to ten goals in Serie A this season and he surely has no intention of stopping now. Thanks to the votes from fans on the AC Milan Official App, he finished first in the poll ahead of Brahim Díaz and Sandro Tonali. Bravo Rafa!
