POBEGA IS THE MVP FROM BOLOGNA v AC MILAN

If the game against Empoli saw his return, the one against Bologna saw him back making a mark. Tommaso Pobega struck home a wonderful finish in a delicate moment in the game, giving his side the equaliser and eventually earning them a point. Regardless of the 1-1 draw, which leaves some regret for the away side, the Rossoneri number 32 gave an impressive performance full of grit, sacrifice and substance, enrichened by his third goal of the season - the second in this year's Serie A campaign after the one against Roma in January. 

Through the official AC Milan App, our fans voted Pobega as the best player on the field obtaining  more than 80% of the vote, ahead of Ballo-Touré, Saelemaekers and Vranckx.

Tommaso is emblematic of a player whose hard work can go at times go unnoticed, but is vital for success. Despite being on the bench, he has remained part of the squad and fully involved in the daily work that goes on behind the scenes. And when he has been called upon he has always shown himself to be ready, up for the challenge and, most importantly, given a performance.

At Dall'Ara, it wasn't only his goal that gave him this accolade; he came close to getting another after the break and recorded some record statistics: seven balls recovered, five successful balls forward and two lay-offs. In battle, from start to finish, he made 37 successful passes and won three tackles. The Rossoneri midfielder once again confirmed he is an important member of the squad, who can always be relied upon by Pioli. Bravo, Tommaso!
