GIROUD IS THE MVP FROM AC MILAN v SAMPDORIA

His first hat-trick for the Rossoneri: Oli takes the ball and the MVP prize home with him

A first that he'll never forget, his first hat-trick with the Rossoneri. Olivier Giroud hadn't scored three goals in a league game since 2016. AC Milan's number 9 did it last night in the 5-1 win against Sampdoria and it's only logical that he takes the crown as the MVP from the game.

A round of applause for Oli. He scored three big goals to take his tally to 21 in all competitions for club and country. It's been a brilliant year for the big striker, who has found a spot in the fans' hearts after only two seasons at the Club.

The three goals were the talking point of the night for Giroud - who came first ahead of Díaz, Leão and Tonali in the poll on the AC Milan Official App - but his tally could have been higher if it weren't for the Samp stopper, Ravaglia.

The French forward worked so hard for his teammates in the game, with four lay-offs, 16 passes and six attempted duels. It was the best way to get back on the scoresheet at San Siro and in the league, as he was without a goal since Salernitana on 13 March. Bravo Oli!
