CHUKWUEZE IS THE MVP FROM AC MILAN v SASSUOLO

Sammy, Sammy, Sammy! Samuel Chukwueze was chosen by Rossoneri fans as MVP after AC Milan 6-1 Sassuolo. On a night when everyone shone on the pitch, it was the Nigerian winger with his first brace for the Rossoneri who ran out as the winner of the vote on the AC Milan Official App.
Sammy hadn't scored a brace since April 2023 and in our first Coppa Italia game of the season, he managed to do it in just 21 minutes of play. First, he opened the scoring on an assist from Reijnders before making it 3-0, this time on another good assist, from Abraham. It was a truly complete 90 minutes, where he constantly troubled the Emilian's backline.
Runs, pushing forwards, crosses - no Rossoneri tried more than him - but also fouled, recovered the ball and won duels. There were many important things for Chukwu across the 90 minutes that rounded off the top-level period he's had on the pitch. He beat out another three goalscorers in the vote: Reijnders, Leão and Abraham.
Our number 21, after his winner against Udinese, fired up the fans at San Siro with his brace. Coach Fonseca applauded everyone's attitude, underlining how this was "a show of faith". And with Chukwueze doing this well, he shouldn't miss out on what's to come: well done, Sammy!
