BOURNEMOUTH vs. AC MILAN: MATCH PREVIEW
Europa League
Our European campaign resumes with Europa League Matchday 3, as we face Bournemouth at Vitality Stadium tonight at 9:00 PM CEST. The English club is enjoying a historic first season in European competition. After securing our first points with an emphatic win in Salzburg, we’ll look to build on that performance and keep the momentum going, with results in Serie A also encouraging. With kickoff just hours away, let’s get ready with our regular Match Preview.
LATEST FROM MILANELLO
AC Milan heads to Bournemouth after consecutive wins over Salzburg and Atalanta, but with a few new concerns to manage. The team's performances and results have been encouraging though Pietro Terracciano, Chukwueze and Ramos will miss the trip to England because of fitness issues. They join Gabbia and Saelemaekers on the sidelines. Filippo Terracciano is suspended for the game. Morale remains high, and the Rossoneri will need to maintain that enthusiasm and build on it to keep improving. The latest performance against Atalanta, when AC Milan played excellent football for much of the game, provided further evidence of the progress made in recent weeks.
Coach Amorim in his pre-match press conference: "Every match is important, this will be the third game and a chance to test ourselves to see where we are. We'll push for the win. We've always got technical and tactical aspects to work on, the road is a long one".
LATEST FROM BOURNEMOUTH
It’s been a perfect start in Europe for the Cherries, with two wins over Real Sociedad (2-1) and Sturm Graz (3-0). Bournemouth also claimed its first Premier League win of the season against Sunderland last weekend, following a demanding run of fixtures that included Manchester City, Newcastle, Chelsea, and Liverpool. Marco Rose, who replaced Iraola over the summer, is not expected to have Kroupi or Scott back from injury, but he can still count on key players such as Rayan, Evanilson, Tavernier, and Kluivert.
Rose: "We're here to compete and win, we're also playing at home. We respect AC Milan's history, which is really impressive, but we're in a good place and want to win".
