PULISIC SHINES FOR THE USA

The opening fixtures of the international break saw three AC Milan players in action. Christian Pulisic was the standout performer in the United States' 3-2 victory over Senegal. Playing the first 45 minutes, the Rossoneri forward set up Sergiño Dest for the opening goal in the 7th minute before getting on the scoresheet himself in the 20th, finishing off an assist from Ricardo Pepi to make it 2-0.

Switzerland won 4-1 comfortably against Jordan in their friendly in St. Gallen. Ardon Jashari came on at half-time and played the entire second half, helping Switzerland see out the result with ease. Serbia's afternoon was trickier as they suffered a 3-0 defeat to Cape Verde in a friendly played in Lisbon. Strahinja Pavlović stayed on until the 89th minute but, like the rest of the team, was unable to make an impact in a match that proved challenging both defensively and in attack.
