DE WINTER: "A PRESTIGIOUS SHIRT I'M THRILLED TO WEAR"

Another new signing to get to know. Koni De Winter, the Belgian defender who has joined us from Genoa, has held his first press conference as an AC Milan player, broadcast live on the AC Milan Official App and Milan TV.

KONI'S SUMMER
"It's been a special summer. I signed for AC Milan and also played for my country. I think I've always performed well at San Siro, a stadium I really like because of the fans and the atmosphere - it's truly a fantastic place to play. Everything happened so fast, but when a club like AC Milan calls, it's really hard to say no."

COACH ALLEGRI
"It's great to work under him again. He gave me my professional debut and always believed in me. Before, he used to play me as a full-back, which I didn't enjoy much, but now he can put me wherever he wants, as long as I'm playing (laughs). Defending is a team effort; we all defend together, and the Coach is very good on the defensive side of things. That’s what we’re working on right now."

POSITION AND RESPONSIBILITY ON THE PITCH
"I'm a centre-back, and've specialised in this role, but of course if I'm asked to play elsewhere, I'd be happy to. Three at the back or four? It doesn't make much difference, because I've played in both systems at my previous clubs and have always adapted - it's not a problem for me. As for set-pieces, I've noticed the quality of our players' deliveries, and that's a promising sign."
