ALLEGRI: "WE MUST STAY BALANCED AND COMPOSED"

The Coach's thoughts from Milanello ahead of AC Milan v Udinese

Matchday 32 of Serie A brings AC Milan v Udinese, in which the Rossoneri will be aiming to pick up points in the race for a Champions League spot and bounce back after their defeat at the Maradona. Head Coach Massimiliano Allegri has introduced the match in a press conference at Milanello, live on the AC Milan Official App and Milan TV.

BACK AT SAN SIRO
"It could be a contributing factor. In Naples, the team played well and had some good chances that we didn't make the most of: the result influenced the judgment. We went there with the hopes of winning, but you can lose on their turf. One game cannot throw away all the work we've done over this season or undermine it. Even as we head into the last seven games, we must stay balanced. We are still a few points short of reaching our goal. There is room for improvement, for example, in the last few games, we have lost twice away from home, and there have been games where we haven't managed to score. We have to go into this with calmness and clarity."

THE BUILD UP TO FACING UDINESE
"Tomorrow will be a challenging game against a physical side. The tempo will be lower, and the result will be even more important, so we have to stay focused. I believe in working to improve without losing balance or strength. The team have always been fully dedicated, be it at the start of the season or now. In a game as beautiful and unpredictable as football, results are what matter because winning shapes opinions. Everyone is available to me, including Gabbia, who will be with us after his first week of training. Loftus-Cheek has made a full recovery. There will also be the opportunity to make some changes to bring renewed focus. We're in good condition and just need to keep things simple, with good technique and organisation."

THE INDIVIDUALS
"Saelemaekers is going through a period of real growth, both as a player and as a person. He has moments where he loses momentum, and when that happens, he makes technical errors: he still has room for growth. Pulisic and Leão were suffering from injuries that didn't allow them to build on their fitness, but they've still been key for us. Füllkrug arrived in January and had been out for a while, but he immediately made himself available. Gimenez? When I joined, we worked together, but then he had to stop because of an ankle problem. He's recovering, and it's normal to go through a physical and mental dip. It's not about the individuals, but about the present. Everyone, including myself, has to give a little more in this decisive time."

GETTING BACK ON TRACK WITH THE RIGHT MINDSET
"After losing second place and dropping off the top, it's normal to feel a mental setback. During the week, the team turned their attention back to the final objective and continued working every day to improve. We still have seven matches to go, and there are teams that are improving in performance. Throughout a season, there will be moments when strikers score and at other times they won't, but I'm certain that from now until the end of the season, they will find the goals that will take us to our final objective. The most important thing is reaching our objective, whether that's with six, eight, or even one forward. It's all about playing with a positive mindset; we have quality players, and I have full faith in them."
