TORINO v AC MILAN: MATCH PREVIEW

AC Milan are preparing to face Torino on Serie A Matchday 26, scheduled for 22 February at 18:00 CET in Turin. Sérgio Conceição's side are ready for kick-off at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino against Paolo Vanoli's men. With the league getting into the business end, both sides are battling it out for precious points to improve their position in the table. AC Milan are coming into this match in good form, having won their last two league matches without conceding, however this will be our first match following our Champions League elimination against Feyenoord. The Granata's ground is not an easy place to go, and the team will need to react well in order to get back to winning ways. Following Tuesday night, players who were not in the UEFA squad are again available (Bondo, Jiménez, Jović and Sottil), and Conceição could rotate his side ahead of another important match in Bologna on Thursday 27th. Kyle Walker is unavailable, but Álex Jiménez is ready as a potential replacement. There are no cautioned or suspended players.

"It's a very important game against a very tough opponent, who have only lost to Bologna in 2025", Conceição said in his press conference. "We have to focus on this game, the attitude has to be as if it were the Champions League final. In Turin, like in all the games left this season. Walker is not available, my choices will depend on everyone's fitness. Pulisic can't play a full 90, Gimenez is growing but still isn't at his best. We have to think about a fourth-place finish and the Coppa Italia, I've seen the lads preparing well".

The Granata, having most recently lost 3-2 to Bologna, are looking to win again in the league. Vanoli's side showed resilience in their recent matches, with seven games in a row without defeat prior to the loss at the Dall'Ara. Despite a few issues, Torino are determined to win by making the most of home support, in order to both prove themselves and to climb the table. Vanoli will once again be able to use midfielder Samuele Ricci (following suspension), while Masina will not be available due to disciplinary reasons. There are several available battles for selection in the regular 4-2-3-1 formation (Linetty or Casadei, Karamoh or Elmas), with the first two as the favourites. Ché Adams is not fully fit. Should he not be available, Sanabria will step in.

"I expect AC Milan to be disappointed and angry," Paolo Vanoli said ahead of the game. "They need to make up for getting knocked out of the Champions League. They have individual players who can turn any game on its head and they have the ability to rotate. They have Theo and Leão on the left and have new players in João Félix and Gimenez, the latter of whom is so good inside the box. We need to be alert to the threat carried by all of their individuals. We're focusing on ourselves and making sure we're ambitious, determined and focused. We can't afford to throw more points away, we have to win some. We'll need to fight as a team."

The match at the Olimpico Grande Torino will be refereed by Simone Sozza. It is his first fixture in this Serie A season for the Rossoneri, but he was the referee for the Supercoppa Final in Riyadh. He was also in charge of two of our matches last season, and both were defeats: Lazio (2-3 in September) and Juventus (2-0 in November). The linesmen will be Cipressa and Tolfo, with fourth official Crezzini.  The VAR will be Paterna with the AVAR Fabbri.

Lecce 0-1 Udinese kicked off Serie A Matchday 26 on Friday 21 February. Other than Torino v AC Milan at 18:00 CET, Saturday's schedule will have two matches at 15:00 CET -  Parma v Bologna and Venezia v Lazio with Inter v Genoa at 20:45 CET. On Sunday 23: Como v Napoli at 12:30 CET, Hellas Verona v Fiorentina at 15:00 CET, Empoli v Atalanta at 18:00 CET and Cagliari v Juventus at 20:45 CET.
