After two consecutive wins, the Rossonere hit a setback: at the Stadio Ferruccio in Seregno, Como Women beat AC Milan 1-0, and joined Roma at the top of the table at 12 points. The game was filled with decisive moments and was ultimately settled by a late penalty from Nischler, who, just like Evelyn Ijeh at the end of the first half, had missed an earlier penalty. It was a difficult end for AC Milan, who finished the match with ten players after Keijzer was shown a red card in a hectic end.
After a difficult start with gameplay, even further challenging because of the pitch being drenched in rain and the opponent's competitive edge, Bakker's team managed to find their feet. Ultimately, however, there were more chances for the Lariani after what felt like an endless game with several reviews by the Football Video Support. It's a night they can move on from as they look to turn things around with confidence in the upcoming fixtures, beginning on Sunday afternoon, the 23rd, when they will host Sassuolo in Fiorenzuola d'Arda. Forza Rossonere!

MATCH REPORT
The hosts began promisingly, creating a few early chances for Kerr in the first three minutes, but the American couldn't find the net. After intense pressing from the Lariani in the first 20 minutes, despite not forcing any major saves from Giuliani, the Rossonere found their first chance in the 23rd minute. It was a left-footed shot from distance by Cernoia, but easily saved by Gilardi. Kramžar's cross in the 28th minute was punched away by Giuliani, which led to a corner, but Howard shot too high from a good position. The first half was largely quiet until its final moments, when a dramatic shift took place: Cecotti handled Renzotti's cross, and after a review from the Football Video Support, a penalty was awarded. Ijeh stepped up to the spot, sending Gilardi the wrong way, but her effort went over the bar.
The second half began with a Rossonere substitution, Dompig came on for Renzotti, and an early opportunity for Como Women: Kramžar's curling left-foot shot was saved by Giuliani. A drawn-out sequence in the 52nd minute ended with Kyvåg taking a shot from 25 metres, but Gilardi got her hands to it. AC Milan pushed further up the pitch, and in the 57th minute, Van Dooren's header forced a save from the keeper. Three minutes later, a foul on Marcussen in the area earned Como a penalty, but Nischler hit the crossbar from the spot. There was a big chance in the 69th minute with Mascarello's header from close range, but she narrowly missed. Grimshaw also came close in the 80th minute with a clinical shot from distance, and on the counter, Giuliani was ready to deny Lehmann's effort. The decisive moment in the 84th minute, after a long FVS review, a penalty was awarded to Como, Keijzer received a red card, and Nischler successfully converted. The score stayed at 1-0 throughout added time.
