AC Milan suffer defeat in the derby. At the home of the Nerazzurri, a goal that arrived shortly after the half-hour mark scored by Owusu who tipped the scales in a balanced derby, during which the Rossoneri failed to find a deserved equalizer despite some late chances. After an underwhelming first half, AC Milan reacted with character and courage, creating several threats, but this time they lacked the decisive stroke to level the tie, as happened in the last game against Napoli. The Rossoneri, in fact, shot many times towards Botis’ goal, but with little precision. So 1-0 was the final result on matchday 14 of Primavera 1, a score that holds back the Rossoneri to 16 points in the table, overtaken by today's opponents.
They showed the desire to win back a result, not to give up and fight on every ball until the final whistle. Also in this match, the Rossoneri Under-19 put their own characteristics and identity on show. Alesi, back on the field from the first minute, and El Hilali - who failed to replicate the magic from the previous match - was the most lively in the Rossoneri’s attack. Also positive was the return of Nava, with several saves in the first half. However, there were also many absences among the Rossoneri’s ranks, from captain Coubis to Zeroli and Chaka Traorè, elements that Coach Abate hopes to find again as soon as possible to turn the page and go in search of a first victory in 2023, and the opportunity is just around the corner: on Sunday, January 22 at the PUMA House of Football they host Hellas Verona.

MATCH REPORT
The start of the match was tense. The first chance came for the hosts, who in the 10th minute had a chance to strike with Di Pentima's, but Nava was alert and deflected it away for a corner. The Rossoneri response was not long in coming as El Hilali's right-footed shot from the edge of the box (12') that called Botis into action. The Nerazzurri created two big chances between the 24th and 27th minutes: first, a double save by Nava foiled close attempts by Martini and Owusu, then an lapse of concentration by Casali led to a Kamate shot, which hit the top of the crossbar. AC Milan pushed again around the half-hour mark, but El Hilali - denied by Botis in the 29th minute - and Victor (32') failed to break the deadlock. In the 33rd minute, Inter took the lead: Owusu directed a right-footed shot at the near post that surprised Nava and was slotted in at the far post. The Rossoneri trailed at halftime.
The second half started slow, but the Rossoneri increased their intensity as the minutes passed. The first real chance of the second half came in the 65th minute, with Alesi running away down the left but his shot was high. The number 7's spurt reignited AC Milan, who threw themselves in search of an equalizer: in the 66th minute El Hilali came close, while in the 69th minute Longhi tried to surprise Botis with an first-time shot, blocked by the defender. Botis again repelled attempts by El Hilali (79') and Gala (81'), and the end of the match turned into a Rossoneri onslaught. In the 91st minute Sia tried to take advantage of an indecision by Pozzi but Fontanarosa cleared it away on the line, while in the last play of the match Bartesaghi and El Hilali again were walled off by the Nerazzurri’s defense: it ended 1-0.
