HERNÁNDEZ IS THE MVP FROM AC MILAN v LAZIO

A comet strikes at San Siro: Theo lights up the stage

Halley's Comet, the most famous and brightest of all comets, was first spotted in 1986 and will only be visible to Earth again in 2061. At San Siro, Theo's comet appeared for the second consecutive year: in May 2022 against Atalanta and May 2023 against Lazio. The fifth month of the year is the month for trademark Hernández coast-to-coasts.

These two similarly stunning solo goals both left the stadium aghast. And the finish today was not the only noteworthy aspect of the France international's performance. Theo was mighty with and without the ball against the Biancocelesti. He was immovable in defence and electric in attack. That's why - and deservedly so - the fans named him their MVP for the game, ahead of Bennacer and Krunić.

80 minutes played, 49 progressive passes completed, five duels won, five recoveries, three fouls won and, above all, one goal. This was his fourth in Serie A this season and 22nd for the Club in the league overall.

He couldn't have picked a better way to get back on the scoresheet in Serie A, especially ahead of Wednesday's Champions League semi-final first leg against Inter. Theo is in top form, as is the team, and he is ready to patrol the flank on a big European night.
