TOMORI IS THE MVP FROM BORUSSIA DORTMUND v AC MILAN

Fik was the most voted for following the draw in the Champions League

In the stands there was the famous yellow wall for the home side, but the on the pitch there was the Rossoneri wall, coming under the name of Fikayo Tomori: it was a gritty, efficient and attentive performance on the most prestigious stage, the Champions League. The Englishman showed all of his best qualities and for the second successive game in the competition - after Newcastle - he has been voted by our fans  - via the AC Milan Official App - as the MVP from Borussia Dortmund v AC Milan.

Tomori collected almost 45% of the vote, coming ahead of Leão, Thiaw and Musah. He is the face of a side that has earned a second consecutive precious clean sheet, the starting point for any chance of victory. The final result, at the end, was only half achieved, but the defensive unit held firm, providing even further guarantees of its solid and stable nature, following on from the recent zero goals conceded against Lazio in the league.

Fikayo's performance at the BVB Stadion Dortmund was faultless, expertly done and with no hiccups. It is a sign of a player with a superb mental and physical state - and it must be noted and underlined - who is back to his 100% best. Great stuff for an ever-improving AC Milan backline, which is making his teammates' work easier and providing reassurance to Coach Pioli.

The numbers shine light on an excellent night for the defender: nine ball recoveries and two interceptions, the best in the team; plus, 42 successful passes, four duels won, three successful long balls and two tackles won over the course of 93 minutes of play. Signs of tiredness? No chance! He is the same old Fik fighting and battling for every ball, both when the game is open or played in tight space, or when on the run or in marking.
