PRESIDENT SCARONI CONCLUDES OUR ROSSONERI WEBINAR SERIES

Eight weeks of events with managers, businesses, entrepreneurs and professionals during lockdown

AC Milan didn’t put a hold on its relationships with the Club’s partners during the “lockdown”, running a series of exclusive digital events throughout the period. On Friday 19 June, AC Milan’s President Paolo Scaroni concluded our series of webinars dedicated to sport, clubs, finance, economics and “smart selling”, with the events organised by the Rossoneri Club in collaboration with our partners Banco BPM, Masterclass, Banca Mediolanum, PwC TLS – Avvocati e Commercialisti, Il Sole24Ore and 24Ore Business School.

“Sport, football, finance, banks and COVID-19. Thoughts on the future.” was the title of the webinar Paolo Scaroni took part in together with Banco BPM’s CEO Giuseppe Castagna and Banca Mediolanum’s President Ennio Doris, with the event hosted by Wall Street Director Leopoldo Gasbarro. “We’ve been through a very difficult period with the pandemic, we’ll never forget this experience,” were Scaroni’s words. “However, we’ve realised that we can live and work in a different way. I’m convinced that we’ll return to normality, making the most out of what we’ve learned. Normality also means reopening the stadiums to the public. Football without fans is so sad.”

“Sport is education and growth,” added Castagna. “We support our partners to bring joy to people who play sport. We’ve donated a lot of funds to the COVID-19 emergency with plenty of different fundraisers, including amongst our employees. Entrepreneurs have the desire and enthusiasm to get going again, and taking part in the success stories of our entrepreneurs is our greatest victory.”

“We need a spark to bring back the optimism and the desire to get going again, all while putting these difficult months behind us,” said Doris in closing. “The new stadium can be the right opportunity to do that, a gift that AC Milan, the city of Milan and Italy all deserve.”

This webinar marked the final appointment in an initiative run in recent weeks, one which involved more than 200 companies and over 1,200 participants, including managers, directors and entrepreneurs, also seeing the participation of big names from the world of sport and economics like AC Milan Coach Stefano Pioli and Olimpia Milano basketball Coach Ettore Messina. The Club’s next big event in its digital “business engagement” calendar comes on 14 July, with the first-ever Digital Business Forum organised by a football club.
