The 2026/27 Serie A Women season returns to PUMA House of Football. On Saturday, October 24th, at 12:30 PM CEST, AC Milan will face Ternana Women on Matchday 4. The Rossonere are back in front of their home fans looking for valuable points to climb the table. Their opponents from Umbria arrive in excellent form after consecutive wins over Parma and Lazio. Here is our Match Preview ahead of kickoff.
PUMA HOUSE OF FOOTBALL
After the defeat in Rome, AC Milan will return home looking to get back on track. Suzanne Bakker's team can draw confidence from its strong home form. Across the league and the Women's Cup, AC Milan has collected ten points from its last four home matches, including the end of last season. Christy Grimshaw, who made her 100th Serie A appearance against Roma, also scored twice against the Giallorosse, underlining her excellent form. She becomes the first foreign player to reach that milestone for AC Milan. For Thea Kyvåg, meanwhile, the match against Ternana Women holds special significance. She scored her first league goal for the Rossonere against the Umbrian side last January.
The words of Coach Bakker ahead of the match: "Ternana are a physically strong team who will challenge us in the duels. We'll need to be aggressive and disciplined, staying true to our playing principles to secure the 3 points."
TERNANA WOMEN
The Rossoverdi, led by new coach Alessandro Defendi, arrive in Milan in positive form, with three wins in their last four matches. Last time out, Ternana Women beat Lazio 1-0, confirming the progress they have shown at the start of the season. The Umbrian side also won its first away league match, beating Parma 2-1, and will now look to record consecutive away wins in Serie A for the first time in its history. Defensively, Ternana has looked solid in the opening rounds, allowing opponents few chances. Going forward, however, the team has struggled to create opportunities, with relatively few shots on goal. One key figure is Paloma Lázaro, who scored the decisive goal in the 1-0 win over AC Milan in their most recent meeting last May.
Defendi: "AC Milan is a team with a very attacking style of play. You have to respect your opponent, but of course, we'll go to Milano and look to play our game."
