5 THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT MARCO SPORTIELLO

MILANISTA FROM A YOUNG AGE
He has made no secret of his AC Milan support. Born in 1992, he has said that he has been an AC Milan supporter since the days of Sebastiano Rossi, a great Rossoneri goalkeeper when Sportiello was a child. Even as a child he played football at home wearing the Rossoneri colours.

PIOLI, ONCE MORE
Marco will be coached again by Stefano Pioli. From January 2017 to the summer of 2018, during his time in Florence, Pioli was in the dugout, with whom he established a very good relationship.

A QUESTION OF NUMBERS
Loyal to shirt number 57, the only number he has had in his career. The reason are his wife and his daughter, who were born on 5/7. This will be practically the first time a Rossoneri player will wear the number 57, which until now has been worn by youngsters Torrasi (2017/18), Valoti (2011/12 and 2012/13) and Pasini (2009/10). Torrasi himself is the only one to have played with the 57 in Serie A, in the final minutes of an AC Milan 5-1 Fiorentina game in which Sportiello was the starting goalkeeper for the Viola in the first half. His wife's surname is also linked to the Rossoneri colours and goalkeepers: Abbiati, just like one of the greatest goalkeepers in our history.

EX ROSSONERI
During his time at Atalanta, he shared a dressing room with many former Rossoneri players: Bellanova, Bonaventura, Borriello, Caldara, Conti, Cristante, Emanuelson, Kessie, Paletta, Pašalić, Pessina, Petagna and Yepes. At Fiorentina, he played with Mati Fernández, Kalinić, Saponara and Tătărușanu. At Frosinone, he was with Salamon and Simič. In the current Rossoneri squad, he will be reunited with Kjær who played for Atalanta and Rebić from Fiorentina.
