


The Rossoneri's 2023/24 season is underway. On a stifling day at Milanello, the squad carried out their first training session in front of the many fans who had turned up. It was a mixed bunch of players with many missing due to the international commitments in the summer. Several young lads from the Primavera side joined in.

The group of players had lunch at the sports centre and took the training pitch at 17:06 CEST, welcomed by the all-important fans watching on, who sang "Forza, lotta, vincerai". The session opened up with warm-up routine, while the goalkeepers worked separately with their respective trainers. Dividede into into two groups, the squad went through a two-touch ball-possession exercise, with several breaks in-between due to the immense heat. Following that, there were some full-length pitch technical drills with passes through "stations".
There was also time for a 11 v11 training game on a reduced-sized pitch. For the blues, Mirante in goal; Simić, Paloschi, Tomori and Florenzi in defence; Loftus-Cheek, Victor and Pobega in midfield; Romero, Origi and Cuenca up top. Agains them were the reds: Sportiello in goal; Calabria, Gabbia, Nsiala and Bartesaghi in defence; Zeroli, Krunić and Adli in midfield; and Messias, Lazetić and Rebić in attack.
The first two goals were for the blues, scored by Divock Origi. Messias pulled one back and Rebić got the equaliser shortly after for the reds. At the end, the same Junior and Ante his the post and the bar, respectively, for the game to finish 2-2. Coach Pioli blew the final whistle to signal the end of the season's first runout. To close out the session, a cooldown was done before saying goodbye to the fans and returning to the changing rooms.
TUESDAY 11 JULY
The Rossoneri will train in the morning, with Ruben Loftus-Cheek then set to hold his presentation press conference at 14:30 CEST. This will be broadcast live on AC Milan Official App, Milan TV, YouTube and Twitch.
