A European night to remember, three goals, and one undisputed star. Alphadjo Cissé has been named MVP of Salzburg vs. AC Milan, earning the most votes from Rossoneri fans on the AC Milan Official App following the 4-0 victory at the Red Bull Arena. The 2006-born forward inspired Coach Amorim's side to its first European win of the season, building on an extraordinary start to the campaign. After scoring against Torino and Juventus, Alfa delivered another outstanding performance on the road, once again making the difference away from home.
His night came to life in the 15th minute, when he headed home Hutchinson's cross, before doubling his tally with a left-footed finish from Bartesaghi's assist and completing his hat-trick with his right foot in the second half. A perfect hat-trick that made history: at 19 years and 358 days old, Cisse became the youngest Italian player to score at least three goals in a single match in a major European club competition. The last Italian to achieve the feat for AC Milan was Filippo Inzaghi, against Deportivo in September 2002.
The young Italian talent continues to impress. Having already been named MVP against Juventus in Turin, Alfa went on to finish second in the voting for the Emirates MVP of September. It has been a particularly prolific spell, highlighted by a goal for Italy U21. His hat-trick in Salzburg takes his tally to five goals this season, making him AC Milan's leading scorer in the opening weeks of the campaign.
Young, always smiling, and increasingly influential, Cisse is enjoying a special few weeks, combining his natural talent with a clinical touch in front of goal. His European hat-trick marks another milestone in a development journey that continues to bring plenty of rewards. Alfa could hardly have asked for a better start to the season: another well-deserved award recognizing his talent and exceptional form. Hopefully, this is just the beginning. Keep it up, Alfa!
