Victory in the midweek round of matchday three of Serie D for Milan Futuro, who beats Brusaporto 2-1 at the Chinetti thanks to goals from Castiello and Vos. The win was built on a high-quality first-half performance and completed after the break, when the Rossoneri responded to the visitors’ improvement and found a late second goal, before Brusaporto pulled one back in stoppage time. It was a positive performance from Coach Navarro’s side, who handled the different phases of the match well and saw the result through to the final whistle.

Three important points for Coach Navarro’s side, which moves onto six points in the standings and continues the positive signs shown at the start of the season. Another step forward at the start of the season, before the team returns to action straight away: on Sunday, Milan Futuro will travel to the Comunale di Villa d’Almè to face Villa Valle. Kick-off is at 15:00. Come on, lads!

    MATCH REPORT
Milan Futuro looked to find space in the visitors’ half from the opening minutes and, in the 7th minute, took the lead with its first real chance of the match. Following a corner, the ball remained loose inside the box and Castiello reacted with a lightning-quick right-footed strike that beat Saporiti to make it 1-0, scoring his first league goal and second of the season after his Coppa Italia effort. Navarro’s side continued to control proceedings in an organised fashion and threatened again in the 16th minute through Ossola, whose effort was held by Saporiti at the second attempt. The visitors tried to respond in the 20th minute, but couldn't score. Asanji then had a go from distance in the 23rd minute, while five minutes later Cappelletti came close to doubling the lead on the counter-attack. In the closing stages, Ossola, Vos and Cappelletti again created opportunities, but without finding a second goal. The Rossoneri therefore went into the break 1-0 up after a very positive first-half display.

The second half began with Milan Futuro immediately looking to attack, but as the minutes passed, Brusaporto grew into the game and pushed further up the pitch. Pittarella, who had barely been called into action in the first half, became the protagonist in the 58th minute with a superb reflex save from a long-range effort, and was called upon again in the 67th minute to deny Lo Conte. The Rossoneri remained organised during the visitors’ spell of pressure, and in the 71st minute Cappelletti tried his luck from distance. Brusaporto came close to an equaliser in the 75th minute when it struck the inside of the post, but Milan Futuro held firm and found a second goal late on. In the 90th minute, Vos found himself one-on-one with Saporiti and coolly finished to make it 2-0. Prandini pulled one back in the 92nd minute during stoppage time, before Bonomi had the final chance for the Rossoneri. The final whistle confirmed an important victory for Milan Futuro, who returned to winning ways in front of its home fans.

    POST-MATCH STATEMENT
"We played an excellent first half, probably our best so far, creating plenty of chances and playing at a very high level. We found things a little more difficult after the break, partly because of fatigue, but we did well to suffer together as a team. I’m very pleased with the boys: we’re a young team and sometimes we think things can be a little easier than they actually are. We’re making good progress, though, and in just a few days we already have another match. We have to keep working and learning," said Coach Navarro when discussing the team’s performance and development. On Vos, the Coach added: "With Silvano, we recovered the person before the player. He did well to change his situation, and now he needs to keep working to find the best version of himself. He has important qualities and ability, and he needs to make the most of them to become a decisive player."
