It was a very intense month for the Rososneri, who switched their tactics, scored great goals, recorded important wins and reached a cup final for the first time in seven years. Four Rossoneri have been nominated for the MVP for April: Luka Jović, Rafael Leão, Mike Maignan and Christian Pulisic were the best players in the past month.
Let's start with the Serbian striker, who is one of two first-time nominees this season. Luka Jović starred in one of the highlights of the season: our number 9 scored a brilliant brace in the 3-0 victory over Inter. In general, though, he has had a splendid month, scoring against Fiorentina too and playing brilliantly in Udine.
Mike Maignan, who has been wearing the armband in recent months, is also up for the award for the first time in 2024/25. The nomination comes off the back of some decisive saves against Fiorentina and in the first leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final. The French shot-stopper is in great form, and his performances in April were proof of that. Rafael Leão, meanwhile, received his third nomination of the campaign after being put up for the prize in November and January. The Rossoneri's number 10 capped of the victory in Udine with a goal and an assist and in general, he has played with generosity in service of the team. He looks revitalised in the 3-4-3 formation.
One man has been nominated for every monthly MVP award in 2024/25: Christian Pulisic. The team's leading goalscorer this season with 16 goals in all competitions, the USA international got back on the scoresheet in Venice, but his presence was always telling. He has always put the team first, in both phases of the game. So, we have four big performers, and it's up to you to choose the Player of the Month!
